Judas the First Socialist

Judas the First Socialist

Did you know that more than a billion people have been lifted out of extreme poverty in the past twenty years? This is according to reports by the United Nations. Many of these improved lives can be attributed to the generosity of developed nations such as the United States and others.

Rob from the rich and give to the poor?

Sometimes we need an attitude adjustment. Judas, seems to have been the 1st Socialist in History. He feigned indignation over a woman using expensive oil to anoint the feet of Jesus. He was claiming to want to give the monetary resources to the poor, but his intentions were nefarious.

We need to beware of socialists in sheep’s clothing. Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders is just one example. His mantra sounds as reasonable as Judas’. Take from the rich and give to the poor. That resonates with the poor and the greedy, until they realize Sanders’ duplicity — You see he is one of the rich. He is part of the 1%, and he acquired his wealth while as a supposed concerned public servant.

In God’s economy, we need to find a balance between helping the poor and serving God. ~Matthew 26:11

Something to consider; is it compassionate to make one group suffer to give false hope to another? That is actually happening with our current “Immigration Crisis.”

Modern Social justice warriors, and along with Pope Francis insist that we must help the poor, no matter the cost. In fact, he goes as far as to say that if you don’t, you’re “not Christian.” For Francis and others influenced by liberation theology, public health and safety don’t matter. Neither does it seem to matter if we have the resources to meet the need.”

Yes, as Christians we must have compassion on the needy. That is imperative. We as a nation are currently experiencing a flood of close to a million hungry mouths flooding across our border this year. We also have hundreds of thousands of citizens who are currently going hungry and or living on the streets. We are not meeting the needs of those hungry and homeless on our streets.

Francis and the socialist democrat crowd are being disingenuous at best, offering false hope while peddling guilt and fear. This duplicitous attitude became apparent when President Trump recently threatened to send illegal immigrants from overflowing detention centers to various “sanctuary cities” around the country.

It’s time to have some intellectual honesty. The Democrats do not care for the poor. What they are concerned about is developing a new voting block that is dependent upon the government dole.

Yes, we always the poor among us. This is our on-going challenge. As a nation, the USA is among the most compassionate and charitable in history. Don’t fall for the guilt trip.
