The world has literally been doing battle with Islam ever since its inception when the so-called prophet Muhammed began his battles against his own personal detractors. For the US, one of our first wars as a nation was against the Barbary (Muslim) Pirates (The First Barbary War, 1801–1805). Throughout my own lifetime it seems that hardly a year goes by where Muslims are not fighting their host countries with terrorist attacks — around the world. Modern Muslim immigrants into European nations such as France and Germany are flexing their combined strength, creating “Sharia” zones, which are basically “no-go” zones for non-Muslims. Now, it seems that in certain parts of the USA this model is perpetuating. But, is Islam really the problem?
